What are pressure gauges? Field Air Compressors has a wide range of pressure gauges. The pressure gauge’s range has various entry point options (Rear, bottom etc), the entry points are available in various sizes, most commonly, 1/8″; 1/4″ and 1/2″. Gauge pressure is zero-referenced against ambient air pressure, so it is equal to absolute pressure minus atmospheric pressure. All air compressors legally require pressure gauges, gauges may or may not be certified depending on specific OHS act requirements.

Many techniques have been developed for the measurement of pressure and vacuum. Instruments used to measure and display pressure in an integral unit are called pressure gauges or vacuum gauges. Field Air Compressors has partnered up with key suppliers to supply custom gauges should the need arise.

Glycerine filled gauges filled with fluid effectively dampens system pulsation, making the gauge pointer easier to read. Likewise, humidity and moisture pose problems for dry gauges.
